Review: Harbour Lights Cafe, Hobart

On a slightly drizzly day, S and I ventured out to find yet more food (are you sick of all this food porn yet?!) and found ourselves on the second floor of the cosy Harbour Lights Cafe. It has a bizarre, old-world nautical feel that borders on tacky, but the breakfast more than makes up for its appearance!

We settled on eggs florentine and eggs and bacon - yes, I confess a slight love affair with all things eggy - and some coffee. Perfectly poached eggs doused in creamy hollandaise sauce, buttery toasted English muffins and crisp bacon... they were all spot on.

If you're looking for a homely, quiet breakfast spot along the bay and a traditional breakfast without the fills, this is the place to drop by.
