I go completely ga-ga for animals. I mean in the really embarrassing, only-able-to-speak-gibberish kind of way. I coo and grab at dogs and cats on the street the same way clucky women's ovaries scream when there are babies around. Thankfully S humours me - I suspect he actually find it quite entertaining.
Given my soft spot for all things cute and cuddly, we obviously had to make a pitstop to visit some adorable little critters whilst in Hobart! The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is a 20min drive from the city and is the home to Tasmania Devils and other famous Australian animals. As if I would say no! I swear, Australia is home to some of the cutest little furballs, ever. (Also home to some horrifically dangerous animals but that's beside the point.)
| It doesn't hurt that the sanctuary is set amidst a beautiful, leafy area with a stunning view! |
| Adroable little 'cappuccino' Kookaburra! You know I'm right about how frothy it looks..it even has the little cinnamon/mocha sprinkles on its head! :) |
| Some really, REALLY lazy 'roos! |
| Hello Joey! |
| Sweet owl-like birds that had been hit by cars, so they were all blind in one eye. Poor things! |
| Baby Tasmania Devils! Too adorable! |
| I really wanted to steal one. |
| I hereby dub thee 'Snuffles' |
| Lil' Wallaby |
| Overwhelmed and happy by the sheer amount of cuteness around me |
| Stunning colours of the wild |
| Greedy lil chap |
| A whole pile of roos! What a view :) |
| More colourful birds... |
| The attention-seeking cockatoo |
| and yet more colourful birds! |
Totally worth it for only $25! :)

Wonderful photos - all the animals are so sweet, but the one where you both are hugged and smiling is also great, such a cute couple!
